Pregnancy and birth

Pregnancy brings significant changes to both body and mind, and it can raise a wide range of emotions; some expected, others surprising. You may be experiencing fear about what lies ahead, anxiety shaped by previous pregnancies or loss, uncertainty about how to prepare physically or emotionally, or perhaps a sense of disconnection from your baby. My role is to support you in understanding these feelings, exploring where they come from, and helping you feel empowered, supported, and connected as you prepare to welcome your baby.

Transitioning into parenthood

Having a baby is a life-changing experience and is often associated with joy and excitement however it can also bring overwhelming emotions, stress, and challenges that many parents are unprepared for. The transition to parenthood involves major physical, emotional, and lifestyle changes. Sleep deprivation, hormonal shifts, and the demands of caring for a newborn can leave parents feeling exhausted and vulnerable. I offer support to help you navigate this journey and develop a deeper understanding together, learning more about what you and your baby need to find your rhythm.

Getting to know your baby

Babies are all different and no two babies are the same! Your baby is born ready to communicate with you telling you what they need and how they are feeling. However these can be very subtle small cues that we can often miss or confuse.

I will help you to understand your baby more by observing their cues, behavioural states and behaviours and interpreting these with you to learn more about what your baby is trying to say to you. This will ultimately help you have a better understanding when it comes to responding to your baby and feel more empowered and confident as a parent.

Parenting support

Babies have many physical and emotional needs, which can often feel overwhelming., especially when your baby can’t yet verbalise what they need. With so much information available about how babies “should” behave, it’s easy to feel unsure when that advice doesn’t quite fit your own little one. The wonderful truth is every baby is unique and what works for one may not work for another. When guidance is shaped around your baby and your family, parenting can feel calmer, more intuitive, and more confident.

I support families across all areas of parenting, including breastfeeding, formula feeding, introducing solids, infant sleep, toilet training, routines, and infant emotional regulation. My approach combines evidence-based strategies with a deep understanding of you and your baby’s unique needs so we can create practical, realistic guidance that truly works for your family.

Infant Sleep

Dedicated infant sleep support that begins with recognising the impact broken sleep can have on parents. Ongoing exhaustion can affect mood, confidence, relationships and overall wellbeing, making even small challenges feel overwhelming. Many parents come to me feeling depleted, unsure and worried they’re doing something wrong.

My role is to support you with a calm, responsive approach to infant sleep that considers your baby’s developmental needs alongside your emotional wellbeing. I offer personalised guidance, practical strategies and reassurance, helping you understand your baby’s sleep patterns and find gentle, sustainable ways to improve sleep for the whole family.

Infant Feeding

Specialist infant feeding support that acknowledges how stressful and emotional feeding difficulties can be. Whether feeding feels painful, confusing, pressured, or simply not how you expected, these experiences can leave parents feeling anxious, guilty, or isolated.

I provide compassionate, non-judgemental support tailored to you and your baby. My approach focuses on building confidence, understanding feeding cues, and supporting informed choices, whether you are breastfeeding, bottle feeding, combination feeding, or transitioning between stages. The aim is to help feeding feel calmer, more connected, and more manageable for you both.

Nurturing your relationship

Building a relationship with your baby is an ongoing journey. As your baby grows and changes, so does your role as a parent, often requiring you to adapt and gently shift the dynamic between you both. Along the way, you are constantly learning what your baby enjoys, what they need, and how everyday life can sometimes make it harder to fully slow down and enjoy these moments together. At times, some parents may feel a sense of distance from their baby. This can happen for many reasons and does not define the future of your relationship with one another. My role is to support you in deepening and strengthening the bond between you and your baby, helping you create a strong foundation of connection that can grow and adapt through life’s many changes. Throughout this process, my goal is to bring a sense of closeness, enjoyment and nurture so both you and your baby can truly feel it together.

Play and development

Play is a vital part of your baby’s growth and development, its how they explore the world, understand relationships, and build the foundations for lifelong learning. From the earliest weeks of life, playful interactions help shape a baby’s brain, body, and emotional well-being. I offer support to parents by providing guidance, resources, and play-based activities that nurture your baby’s development during the most important early years. Through age-appropriate play ideas, practical support, and a caring approach, I help you feel confident in supporting your baby’s brain development, physical growth, and emotional well-being, turning everyday moments into meaningful learning experiences.

Mental health support

Becoming a parent can have a huge impact on your mental health and this matters just as much as your baby’s development. The emotional, physical, and lifestyle changes that come with having a baby can feel overwhelming, particularly when you’re tired, feeling uncertain, or placing pressure on yourself to get everything right.

Through reassurance, personalised guidance, and a non-judgemental space to talk, I help you manage stress, build confidence, and feel supported during this major life transition. My approach focuses on supporting your well-being, strengthening your relationship with your baby and helping you feel calmer, more capable, and less alone.

Video interaction guidance (VIG)

Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) is a supportive, practical tool that helps parents feel more confident and connected with their little ones. Using short video clips of you and your baby, VIG highlights what’s already working well and builds on your strengths. Using the VIG programme, I can help you have a deeper understanding of your baby’s cues, improve communication and enjoy calmer, more attuned interactions.

The VIG package starts with a conversation about your goals and what you’d like support with. From there, we move into a simple process where a short video is filmed of you and your baby spending time together. I will then review the video and select small moments that highlight positive, connected interactions, linking them back to the goals we’ve discussed. In the following session, we watch the selected clips together. In the following session, we watch the selected clips together and talk through what you notice, reflecting on and exploring them together.

The full VIG package includes three of these cycles, which helps you to gently build awareness, confidence, and connection in a supportive and collaborative way.

What VIG offers you:

  • Clear, personalised support - The guidance is based on your baby and family, not generic parenting advice.

  • Confidence you can see - Watching positive moments back allows you to recognise your skills as a parent and trust your instincts.

  • Better communication and connection - You’ll gain insight into your baby’s cues and emotions, helping interactions feel calmer, more responsive and more enjoyable.

  • A respectful, non-judgemental approach - There is no criticism or instruction. You are guided to reflect and decide what works best for you and your baby.

  • Lasting impact - Because the learning comes from real interactions, changes are memorable and easy to carry into daily life.

VIG isn’t about telling you how to parent; it’s about helping you see the strengths you already have and supporting you to use them with confidence.
